It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years.. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the
Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonald's burger or a Burger King burger than
for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blinds the foolish.
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo
Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America 's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble
the Weimar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, losses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in
comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?
These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties, and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put
up little more than a whimper to their masters.
Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motors) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.
So it should be no surprise that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the
whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less than two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster.. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, and so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "free man" whimper.
So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Frank, a
social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort.. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive
government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.
The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.
The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest, and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

The damage that results from that kind of thing may have fatal consequences, especially in a new movement. For this reason it is advisable first to propagate and publicly expound the ideas on which the movement is founded. This work of propaganda should continue for a certain time and should be directed from one centre. When the ideas have gradually won over a number of people this human material should be carefully sifted for the purpose of selecting those who have ability in leadership and putting that ability to the test. It will often be found that apparently insignificant persons will nevertheless turn out to be born leaders”

The President does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred Senators, 435 Congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices --

545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority.
They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.
The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault.
They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.
The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.
Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want.
If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility.

I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ .If they do not receive Social Security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.They, and they alone, have the power.They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

“SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Wednesday declared a fiscal emergency to force lawmakers into a special session to tackle a state budget gap that has widened to $26.3 billion from $24.3 billion after they failed to close it on Tuesday.
Lawmakers debated late into the night Tuesday but could not agree on a plan to balance California's budget for its new fiscal year, which began early Wednesday morning.
That cleared the way for state officials to suspend payments owed to vendors and local agencies, who instead will get "IOU" notes promising payment.”

THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT HAPPENS WHEN EXTREME LIBERAL, SOCIALISTS AND FASCISTS ARE IN CHARGE OF GOVERNMENT. JUST LIKE THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION IS PUSHING THROUGH BAD LAWS ON THE BASIS OF A CRISIS. THEY STILL DO NOT READ THE BILLS OF LAW BEFORE THEY VOTE ON THE NEW BILLS. HOUSE REPUBLICAN LEADER JOHN BOEHNER SAID:

“Home Sellers Beware. Having a hard time selling your home? Here’s one more hurdle to jump: all homes sales are conditioned upon an energy audit and a new energy rating assessment and energy labeling program for your home that’s outlined in the Democrats’ bill. And if you thought you could improve your property with a fresh coat of paint and some granite counters? Think again! Now your home will be subjected to a new energy rating assessment and energy labeling program that will penalize you for older windows, original fixtures, and dated appliances. So the Democrats’ bill would bring down the value of your home!”.

This cap and trade bill passed by the House of Representatives will increase the costs of gas and electric bills, cost more jobs, increase taxes (also hiden like home bills increased costs when building and selling your home), devastate the coal industry, auto industry, transportation industry, and completely put the country’s debt so high that we will have to go bankrupt.

Now that the Senate has a filibuster proof margin of sixty votes with the travesty of the election of Al Franken by the Minnesota Supreme Court it may be impossible to stop this “cap and trade” bill (tax increase bill on all citizens) from being passed. The idiocy of the global warming untruth will be the death nail in the coffin our the USA economy.

Lets just keep on printing money and increasing the entitlement programs to the point of having a debt nobody could including all future generations could possibly pay.

By the time we can throw the bums out who voted for all these programs it will be to late to reverse the damages. Government healthcare will be a disaster that will not be able to be reversed.

Who knew he would add a fourth autonomous branch of government outside the checks and balances that are in place to prevent a dictator or king?

This all new fourth branch is totally controlled without scrutiny and ruled by the Messiah Obama. Obama waves his magic wand and creates Czars who act in the shadows like the KGB.

The Czars bow only at the feet of the all powerful Obama and pass down edicts and judgments without any checks and balances by the other branches of government. No oversight, no advance notice with public input just dictates from upon high.

Has Obama gone over the line and can he be stopped by impeachment before it is too late to survive his liberal, Fascist and Socialist changes to our government? We are four years away from our ability to get a new President by election. If our congress is blind and not able to effect change by passage of laws to prevent the new fourth branch of government from destroying America as we once knew it then what can be done?

Are we just doomed to the wild clinched fist of Obama and his crisis management. After all he can not allow a good crisis go to waste. In crisis mode things get pushed through with no scrutiny or even public input. If Obama can bypass the pesky checks and balances by use of his KGB Czars then anything is possible.

Wake up America before it is too late and act within the law to stop this assault on traditional values of our founding fathers.

Now that we have had another attack in America by terrorists (oh I forgot we no longer call them terrorists by edict of the all powerful Obama) by the radical killing of an American soldier.

This is just the beginning of such acts and Obama has weakened us with his blame America tours overseas. Lets call a spade a spade and a terrorist a terrorist if it is not too much trouble. Obama dictates and even our press bows at his feet and will not call a terrorist a terrorist.

There is no constitutional requirement that czars undergo those pesky Senate confirmation hearings and hence anyone Obama wants can be appointed with no scrutiny other than being an Obama friend.


Republican Senator John McCain likes to say, Obama has “more czars than the Romanovs”, a royal family who ruled Russia for three centuries.

I [NAME], do solemnly swear.

According to Title 28, Chapter I, Part 453 of the United States Code, each Supreme Court Justice takes the following oath:

"I, [NAME], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as [TITLE] under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God."

Obama wants a nominee to the Supreme Court to accept the premise that judges should look to sources other than the plain text of the Constitution and its original meaning. Obama has also said the Justice should use "empathy" as a standard or some other subjective standard to consider constitutional law would be appropriate.

Thereby a nominee will be able to read his or her own ideology into the plain text of the Constitution.

Obama thinks the poor should be favored over the rich in decisions and these type of considerations are proper. Well how about being fair and impartial in your decisions?

DOES ANY OF THESE LIBERAL FASCIST IDEAS FLY IN THE FACE OF THE SWORN OBLIGATION TAKE BY THE JUSTICES AS STATED ABOVE?

President Obama announced Sonia Sotomayor as his nominee to replace Justice David Souter on the U.S. Supreme Court. At first blush, she fits perfectly into Obama’s idea of a law maker instead of a law interrupter.

Judge Sotomayor's statements about judges being policymakers, and whether judges can be objective in most cases, and her statement that the ethnicity of some judges somehow makes them better at doing their job than judges of different ethnicity give me cause to question her views on judging which must be carefully and fully explained at the confirmation hearings. (however with the 60 vote majority by the Democrats I doubt that it will make a difference even if she says she will make laws based only on her experiences not the Constitution”

CHICAGO POLITICS IS NOW WASHINGTON DC POLITICS

We must remember that Obama’s major skills are as a community organizer and that he never ran any business or commercial enterprise. He organized protests, planned legal attacks on those he disagreed with and wheel and deal in the back rooms of Chicago politics. He would impose his will on businesses by protests and pressure applied to get his way.

Now with the political power of the President he has muscled out chairman of businesses and virtually taken over business in the name of a crisis. He has put the census under the control of Rhom Emanuel and hired ACORN people to do the dirty work on the Federal payroll. Federal government employees are the biggest growth in new jobs.

Is this the change he was elected to do?

How much debt is enough and when do the tax payers say enough is enough already. I know Obama has said not to let a good crisis go to waste as this is the time to jam through those things that would not be able to get done under non crisis events. Now with a filibuster proof majority in both houses of congress the liberals can run amuck with no way to stop the madness.
Pork all over the place and potentially the biggest corrupt congress known to man is becoming a reality more and more each day.

What happened to the promise of posting bills and laws before they are voted on so the public can read them? What happened to the promised administration that will be open to inspection and above board in all it does? Who will investigate the foxes in charge of the hen house. This administration is on it way to be one of the most ethically challenged administration and congress in history. Who is making the most money as a result of their position in the government? Who wants to investigate when they may snare their friends and compares.

I remember Pelosi and Reid saying how open and honest their administration was going to be and how bad was the previous administration. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Our government is in the process of getting absolute power. We better be very virulent.

With all that is going on in the name of a crisis it is going totally in contrast to what the Founding Fathers warned us about, namely too much power concentrated in too few hands.

Everyone must become aware that a one party majority system is no good the same as a one philosophy system as all liberal or all conservative is no good either. There must be a balance or we are headed for a Dictatorship and Socialism.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand
1Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias),
2and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the miraculous signs he had performed on the sick.
3Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples.
4The Jewish Passover Feast was near.
5When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?"
6He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.
7Philip answered him, "Eight months' wages[a] would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!"
8Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up,
9"Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?"
10Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." There was plenty of grass in that place, and the men sat down, about five thousand of them.
11Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.
12When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted."
13So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
14After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they began to say, "Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world."
15Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
Jesus Walks on the Water
16When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake,
17where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them.
18A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough.
19When they had rowed three or three and a half miles,[b] they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were terrified.
20But he said to them, "It is I; don't be afraid."
21Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
22The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples, but that they had gone away alone.
23Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
24Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus.
Jesus the Bread of Life
25When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you get here?"
26Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
27Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."
28Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"
29Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
30So they asked him, "What miraculous sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31Our forefathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written: 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'[c]"
32Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.
33For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
34"Sir," they said, "from now on give us this bread."
35Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
36But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe.
37All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.
38For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
39And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.
40For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
41At this the Jews began to grumble about him because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven."
42They said, "Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, 'I came down from heaven'?"
43"Stop grumbling among yourselves," Jesus answered.
44"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
45It is written in the Prophets: 'They will all be taught by God.'[d] Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.
46No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father.
47I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.
48I am the bread of life.
49Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died.
50But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die.
51I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
52Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
53Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
57Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."
59He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.
Many Disciples Desert Jesus
60On hearing it, many of his disciples said, "This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?"
61Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, "Does this offend you?
62What if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
63The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit[e] and they are life. 64Yet there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.
65He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him."
66From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
67"You do not want to leave too, do you?" Jesus asked the Twelve.
68Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
69We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God."
70Then Jesus replied, "Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!"
71(He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.)

Jesus Goes to the Feast of Tabernacles
1After this, Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews there were waiting to take his life.
2But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near,
3Jesus' brothers said to him, "You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do.
4No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world."
5For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
6Therefore Jesus told them, "The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right.
7The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil. 8You go to the Feast. I am not yet[a] going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come."
9Having said this, he stayed in Galilee.
10However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.
11Now at the Feast the Jews were watching for him and asking, "Where is that man?"
12Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said, "He is a good man."
Others replied, "No, he deceives the people."
13But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the Jews.
Jesus Teaches at the Feast
14Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach.
15The Jews were amazed and asked, "How did this man get such learning without having studied?"
16Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me.
17If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.
18He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.
19Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?"
20"You are demon-possessed," the crowd answered. "Who is trying to kill you?"
21Jesus said to them, "I did one miracle, and you are all astonished.
22Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a child on the Sabbath.
23Now if a child can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing the whole man on the Sabbath?
24Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment."
Is Jesus the Christ?
25At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask, "Isn't this the man they are trying to kill?
26Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Christ[b]?
27But we know where this man is from; when the Christ comes, no one will know where he is from."
28Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him,
29but I know him because I am from him and he sent me."
30At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.
31Still, many in the crowd put their faith in him. They said, "When the Christ comes, will he do more miraculous signs than this man?"
32The Pharisees heard the crowd whispering such things about him. Then the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple guards to arrest him.
33Jesus said, "I am with you for only a short time, and then I go to the one who sent me. 34You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come."
35The Jews said to one another, "Where does this man intend to go that we cannot find him? Will he go where our people live scattered among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks? 36What did he mean when he said, 'You will look for me, but you will not find me,' and 'Where I am, you cannot come'?"
37On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
38Whoever believes in me, as[c] the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
39By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
40On hearing his words, some of the people said, "Surely this man is the Prophet."
41Others said, "He is the Christ."
Still others asked, "How can the Christ come from Galilee?
42Does not the Scripture say that the Christ will come from David's family[d] and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?"
43Thus the people were divided because of Jesus.
44Some wanted to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him.
Unbelief of the Jewish Leaders
45Finally the temple guards went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, "Why didn't you bring him in?"
46"No one ever spoke the way this man does," the guards declared.
47"You mean he has deceived you also?" the Pharisees retorted.
48"Has any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed in him?
49No! But this mob that knows nothing of the law—there is a curse on them."
50Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who was one of their own number, asked,
51"Does our law condemn anyone without first hearing him to find out what he is doing?"
52They replied, "Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet[e] does not come out of Galilee."

El que a mí viene nunca pasará hambre, y el que en mí cree nunca más volverá a tener sed.36 Pero como ya les dije, a pesar de que ustedes me han visto, no creen.37 Todos los que el Padre me da vendrán a mí; y al que a mí viene, no lo rechazo.38 Porque he bajado del cielo no para hacer mi voluntad sino la del que me envió.39 Y ésta es la voluntad del que me envió: que yo no pierda nada de lo que él me ha dado, sino que lo resucite en el día final.40 Porque la voluntad de mi Padre es que todo el que reconozca al Hijo y crea en él, tenga vida eterna, y yo lo resucitaré en el día final. 41 Entonces los judíos comenzaron a murmurar contra él, porque dijo: «Yo soy el pan que bajó del cielo.»42 Y se decían: «¿Acaso no es éste Jesús, el hijo de José? ¿No conocemos a su padre y a su madre? ¿Cómo es que sale diciendo: "Yo bajé del cielo" ?» 43 —Dejen de murmurar —replicó Jesús—.44 Nadie puede venir a mí si no lo atrae el Padre que me envió, y yo lo resucitaré en el día final.45 En los profetas está escrito: "A todos los instruirá Dios." [d] En efecto, todo el que escucha al Padre y aprende de él, viene a mí.46 Al Padre nadie lo ha visto, excepto el que viene de Dios; sólo él ha visto al Padre.47 Ciertamente les aseguro que el que cree tiene vida eterna.48 Yo soy el pan de vida.49 Los antepasados de ustedes comieron el maná en el desierto, y sin embargo murieron.50 Pero éste es el pan que baja del cielo; el que come de él, no muere.51 Yo soy el pan vivo que bajó del cielo. Si alguno come de este pan, vivirá para siempre. Este pan es mi carne, que daré para que el mundo viva. 52 Los judíos comenzaron a disputar acaloradamente entre sí: «¿Cómo puede éste darnos a comer su carne?» 53 —Ciertamente les aseguro —afirmó Jesús— que si no comen la carne del Hijo del hombre ni beben su sangre, no tienen realmente vida.54 El que come[e] mi carne y bebe mi sangre tiene vida eterna, y yo lo resucitaré en el día final.55 Porque mi carne es verdadera comida y mi sangre es verdadera bebida.56 El que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre, permanece en mí y yo en él.57 Así como me envió el Padre viviente, y yo vivo por el Padre, también el que come de mí, vivirá por mí.58 Éste es el pan que bajó del cielo. Los antepasados de ustedes comieron maná y murieron, pero el que come de este pan vivirá para siempre. 59 Todo esto lo dijo Jesús mientras enseñaba en la sinagoga de Capernaúm.
Muchos discípulos abandonan a Jesús
60 Al escucharlo, muchos de sus discípulos exclamaron: «Esta enseñanza es muy difícil; ¿quién puede aceptarla?» 61 Jesús, muy consciente de que sus discípulos murmuraban por lo que había dicho, les reprochó:
—¿Esto les causa *tropiezo?62 ¿Qué tal si vieran al Hijo del hombre subir adonde antes estaba?63 El Espíritu da vida; la *carne no vale para nada. Las palabras que les he hablado son espíritu y son vida.64 Sin embargo, hay algunos de ustedes que no creen.
Es que Jesús conocía desde el principio quiénes eran los que no creían y quién era el que iba a traicionarlo. Así que añadió: 65 —Por esto les dije que nadie puede venir a mí, a menos que se lo haya concedido el Padre. 66 Desde entonces muchos de sus discípulos le volvieron la espalda y ya no andaban con él. Así que Jesús les preguntó a los doce: 67 —¿También ustedes quieren marcharse? 68 —Señor —contestó Simón Pedro—, ¿a quién iremos? Tú tienes palabras de vida eterna.69 Y nosotros hemos creído, y sabemos que tú eres el Santo de Dios.[f] 70 —¿No los he escogido yo a ustedes doce? —repuso Jesús—. No obstante, uno de ustedes es un diablo. 71 Se refería a Judas, hijo de Simón Iscariote, uno de los doce, que iba a traicionarlo.

Jesús va a la fiesta de los Tabernáculos
1 Algún tiempo después, Jesús andaba por Galilea. No tenía ningún interés en ir a Judea, porque allí los judíos buscaban la oportunidad para matarlo.2 Faltaba poco tiempo para la fiesta judía de los Tabernáculos,[a]3 así que los hermanos de Jesús le dijeron:
—Deberías salir de aquí e ir a Judea, para que tus discípulos vean las obras que realizas,4 porque nadie que quiera darse a conocer actúa en secreto. Ya que haces estas cosas, deja que el mundo te conozca. 5 Lo cierto es que ni siquiera sus hermanos creían en él.6 Por eso Jesús les dijo:
—Para ustedes cualquier tiempo es bueno, pero el tiempo mío aún no ha llegado.7 El mundo no tiene motivos para aborrecerlos; a mí, sin embargo, me aborrece porque yo testifico que sus obras son malas.8 Suban ustedes a la fiesta. Yo no voy todavía[b] a esta fiesta porque mi tiempo aún no ha llegado. 9 Dicho esto, se quedó en Galilea.10 Sin embargo, después de que sus hermanos se fueron a la fiesta, fue también él, no públicamente sino en secreto.11 Por eso las autoridades judías lo buscaban durante la fiesta, y decían: «¿Dónde se habrá metido?» 12 Entre la multitud corrían muchos rumores acerca de él. Unos decían: «Es una buena persona.» Otros alegaban: «No, lo que pasa es que engaña a la gente.»13 Sin embargo, por temor a los judíos nadie hablaba de él abiertamente.
Jesús enseña en la fiesta
14 Jesús esperó hasta la mitad de la fiesta para subir al *templo y comenzar a enseñar.15 Los judíos se admiraban y decían: «¿De dónde sacó éste tantos conocimientos sin haber estudiado?» 16 —Mi enseñanza no es mía —replicó Jesús— sino del que me envió.17 El que esté dispuesto a hacer la voluntad de Dios reconocerá si mi enseñanza proviene de Dios o si yo hablo por mi propia cuenta.18 El que habla por cuenta propia busca su vanagloria; en cambio, el que busca glorificar al que lo envió es una persona íntegra y sin doblez.19 ¿No les ha dado Moisés la ley a ustedes? Sin embargo, ninguno de ustedes la cumple. ¿Por qué tratan entonces de matarme? 20 —Estás endemoniado —contestó la multitud—. ¿Quién quiere matarte? 21 —Hice un milagro y todos ustedes han quedado asombrados.22 Por eso Moisés les dio la circuncisión, que en realidad no proviene de Moisés sino de los patriarcas, y aun en *sábado la practican.23 Ahora bien, si para cumplir la ley de Moisés circuncidan a un varón incluso en sábado, ¿por qué se enfurecen conmigo si en sábado lo sano por completo?24 No juzguen por las apariencias; juzguen con justicia.
¿Es éste el Cristo?
25 Algunos de los que vivían en Jerusalén comentaban: «¿No es éste al que quieren matar?26 Ahí está, hablando abiertamente, y nadie le dice nada. ¿Será que las autoridades se han convencido de que es el *Cristo?27 Nosotros sabemos de dónde viene este hombre, pero cuando venga el Cristo nadie sabrá su procedencia.» 28 Por eso Jesús, que seguía enseñando en el *templo, exclamó:
—¡Con que ustedes me conocen y saben de dónde vengo! No he venido por mi propia cuenta, sino que me envió uno que es digno de confianza. Ustedes no lo conocen,29 pero yo sí lo conozco porque vengo de parte suya, y él mismo me ha enviado. 30 Entonces quisieron arrestarlo, pero nadie le echó mano porque aún no había llegado su hora.31 Con todo, muchos de entre la multitud creyeron en él y decían: «Cuando venga el Cristo, ¿acaso va a hacer más señales que este hombre?» 32 Los *fariseos oyeron a la multitud que murmuraba estas cosas acerca de él, y junto con los jefes de los sacerdotes mandaron unos guardias del templo para arrestarlo. 33 —Voy a estar con ustedes un poco más de tiempo —afirmó Jesús—, y luego volveré al que me envió.34 Me buscarán, pero no me encontrarán, porque adonde yo esté no podrán ustedes llegar. 35 «¿Y éste a dónde piensa irse que no podamos encontrarlo? —comentaban entre sí los judíos—. ¿Será que piensa ir a nuestra gente dispersa entre las naciones,[c] para enseñar a los *griegos?36 ¿Qué quiso decir con eso de que "me buscarán, pero no me encontrarán" , y "adonde yo esté no podrán ustedes llegar" ?»
Jesús en el último día de la fiesta
37 En el último día, el más solemne de la fiesta, Jesús se puso de pie y exclamó:
—¡Si alguno tiene sed, que venga a mí y beba!38 De aquel que cree en mí, como dice[d] la Escritura, brotarán ríos de agua viva. 39 Con esto se refería al Espíritu que habrían de recibir más tarde los que creyeran en él. Hasta ese momento el Espíritu no había sido dado, porque Jesús no había sido glorificado todavía. 40 Al oír sus palabras, algunos de entre la multitud decían: «Verdaderamente éste es el profeta.»41 Otros afirmaban: «¡Es el *Cristo!» Pero otros objetaban: «¿Cómo puede el Cristo venir de Galilea?42 ¿Acaso no dice la Escritura que el Cristo vendrá de la descendencia de David, y de Belén, el pueblo de donde era David?»43 Por causa de Jesús la gente estaba dividida.44 Algunos querían arrestarlo, pero nadie le puso las manos encima.
Incredulidad de los dirigentes judíos
45 Los guardias del *templo volvieron a los jefes de los sacerdotes y a los *fariseos, quienes los interrogaron:
—¿Se puede saber por qué no lo han traído? 46 —¡Nunca nadie ha hablado como ese hombre! —declararon los guardias. 47 —¿Así que también ustedes se han dejado engañar? —replicaron los fariseos—.48 ¿Acaso ha creído en él alguno de los gobernantes o de los fariseos?49 ¡No! Pero esta gente, que no sabe nada de la ley, está bajo maldición. 50 Nicodemo, que era uno de ellos y que antes había ido a ver a Jesús, les interpeló: 51 —¿Acaso nuestra ley condena a un hombre sin antes escucharlo y averiguar lo que hace? 52 —¿No eres tú también de Galilea? —protestaron—. Investiga y verás que de Galilea no ha salido ningún profeta.[e] 53 Entonces todos se fueron a casa.
